Nankhonde Kasonde-van den Broek is an organizational change architect & behavior specialist based in Lusaka, Zambia. She is an Organization & Relationship Systems Certified Coach (ORSCC), an Associate Certified Coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ACC/ICF) and a Practitioner Coach with the Africa board for Coaching, Consulting and Coaching Psychology (ABCCCP).
She is an internationally trained Executive Coach with extensive experience in multi-nationals, international organizations and the government in Zambia. Nankhonde has coached over 400 people across 7 of the 10 provinces of Zambia. She is an accomplished professional with a wealth of international and multi-cultural experience in management, leadership, coaching, facilitation and training in Africa, East Asia, the USA and Europe.
Following a decade working in international development and international finance, she returned to Zambia to pursue her passion for performance coaching, human capital development and talent management in Africa. She has lived and worked in New York, Geneva, Dakar and Lilongwe. She has travelled extensively through West Africa and supported programmes in notably, Senegal, Ghana, Mali, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. She has also travelled extensively through East Asia and supported programmes in notably Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. Through these experiences she was able to measure, monitor and evaluate performance across two very different continents.
Nankhonde is the Chair of the Financial Sector Executive Coaching Advisory Board for Sub-Saharan Africa (FS-ECAB) based in Nairobi, Kenya. She is the regional chair for Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Tanzania on the Africa Board for Coaching, Consulting and Coaching Psychology (ABCCCP) based in Pretoria, South Africa, and the founder and chair of Coaching in Zambia (CiZ).
Nankhonde is currently pursuing an Executive Specialized Masters in Coaching & Consulting for Change with Oxford University & HEC Paris. She holds an MBA specializing in Project Management from the African Institute of Management (Dakar, Senegal), an MSc in Management from the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (Quebec, Canada), and a BA in Management from Webster University (Geneva, Switzerland). She studied co-Active coaching at the Coaches Training Institute in New York and Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching with CRR Global in Johannesburg. She is fluent in French and is married with 2 children.
